House Sitting
Uncategorized 7 Comments »
This is Lucas and Jamie who are letting me invade their house for a week here in Madison. I actually volunteered my housitting services since there are going up north to visit their parents for Thanksgiving and I wanted to train in Madison. The only thing I have to do is spray some water on this lizard named Gilbert every so often. I hope I don’t forget?? How much did you guys say you were going to pay me?
Jamie made some awesome fajita’s tonight. It was soo nice to have someone cook me dinner since I usually end up cooking for myself or going out. Lucas told me that when you are married it happens every so often……pretty cool if you ask me.
My new bed. I am going to be sleeping a lot since they don’t have television. I have not been without the tv for awhile and it is sort of lonely. How was the season finale of “The Real World” last night, anyone?
Back riding in Madison………..farms, manure, wind, snow, wet roads, cloudy, ……it really does not get much better than that. I had to wait until noon to get out today because it snowed last night and everything was wet. It did manage to stay just wet enough so my ass got wet from the spray of my tires…….that felt good!
The cows must have heard about the blog because they were lining up to get their picture taken.
I have yet to go to a major university and see it not underconstruction. I went to the UofA for two years and the entire time it was under construction. Today I rode through the UW campus and found that everything is underconstrucstion. I think that is the new soil science building on right?
This is Lucas’s disgusting hairy leg before he shaved. If this picture alone is not enough to convince people to shave their legs look at the after picture!
Lucas’s leg upon completions of shaving.

Today’s lunch break and checking my stock quotes!
Billy Jones………….a good guy he bought me coffee on today’s ride.
Back to work!
Jeff at the WCA Banquet talking about the crash that almost took his life.
A good looking guest speaker (on the left of course)!
Wittig family.
After banquet party!
Apple juice??? mmmmmmmm!
Shit, I have to ride tomorrow!Day 22 = Still no diet soda or wine!
Rode with Billy Jones, Keri, and Frank today. It was cloudy and cold but a coffee stop halfway through the ride really helped.
On the way back from the coffee shop I almost got to see Billy punch a guy. Some dude in a red car drove by with his horn blaring and then proceeded to park and exit his vehicle. When I saw that go down I knew things might get ugly. Here is what I witnessed:
Road Rager: You idiots are suppose to ride single file. Do you think you own the road?
Meanwhile Billy had approached the fat, balding man who had bad teeth and was wearing a Green Bay Packer jacket. The man who was hollering, pointing, and foaming at the mouth accidently touched Billy who responed by saying.
Billy: Hey fat &$#% touch me one more time and I will knock you out!
The man then proceeded to walk away and I responded by saying:
Garrett: Go Packers! (They are terrible and I figured that would be a cheap blow)
In the end no punches were thrown but both parties walked away fired up! It is really amazing how many altercations like this I experience each year. Maybe I should start counting?
After the ride Frank headed over to Madison to pick up Steph and go up north for Thanksgiving. Therefore, I am home alone and enjoying every minute of it. I am joking…..sort of? I wonder how long before I get lonely!
Lastly, I wanted to say thanks to Amy Miller who supplied me with the photos from the WCA banquet. I would also like to wish Randy Roth a speedy recovery from the back surgery he had on Thursday.
