Frank Pipp Only

Talk about no respect……….Frank left town today for the weekend and here is what goes on when he leaves!

DSC02482.JPG Isn’t that Smith drinking out of the mug that I bought Frank in Australia.  Frank did say that he would kick whoever’s ass if he caught them drinking out of it……well you had better warm up your foot Frank.

DSC02483.JPG Now isn’t this Hartman using Frank’s favorite cereal bowl to eat ice cream!  If my memory serves me correct he also said that if he caught someone eating out of his bowl a major ass whooping would be in order.  Well, lucky you have two feet Frank because you are going to be using them both!

Just thought I would give you a heads up Frank

Frickin’ Snow

For the past week and a half I had been getting back into the cycling groove after taking a bit of a break after my Australia/New Zealand trip.

However, this morning my bike time took a bit of a hit due to the foot of snow that fell in the Boulder area last night and today.

Therefore, Frank and I headed up to Eldora for a bit of xc-skiing action in the balmy ten degree fahrenheit weather.

DSC02477.JPG Me at Eldora post ski!  It was cold and I ended up freezing my fingers for the third consecutive day.  Today however, I grew some nice ice stalactites (aka icicles) on my winter beard………..which I have concluded is not getting shaved until the new year!

DSC02478.JPG Frank post ski……..looking a little ragged after I handed it to him all day…….okay……I dropped him once but it was great nonetheless.

Thanks for dragging me to Eldora today Frank.

Home Depot

Frank and I had a big night out on the town this evening.  First, we went to Chipotle were I had the Fajita burrito……easy on the cheese, heavy on the lettuce and hot sauce……..while Frank had the steak burrito.

After the burrito extravaganza things really got interesting with a stop at The Home Depot.

DSC02473.JPG I needed to buy a “big” level so I could properly adjust the slant of the saddle on my new temporary bike.  Actually, this is level number two shown in the picture.  I initially bought a yellow one but before I left the store I changeg my mind and exchanged it for a fancy/shiney silver one that cost $5 more.

DSC024721.JPG Frank on the other hand was going to buy nothing but found a steal of a deal on a drill/skill saw combo.  I think he is going to build something?

The cute girl that exchanged my boring yellow level that I had purchased a few minutes earlier did not understand why I wanted the silver one.  Needless to say I did tell her that according to my new level her checkout kiosk was in fact not level.  Then being the nice guy that I am I gave her a heads up as to the direction her pen might roll off the kiosk if she were to set it down.

She was not really amused……so at least I know never to try that line again.  Is it me or is it something about a girl in one of those orange Home Depot vests?

Okay, time to go see if shit is level in this house.

29th Street Mall

Uncategorized No Comments »

The day after Thanksgiving as I understand is the biggest shopping day of the year.  It is so huge that Frank, Bryan, and I all took a day off of training to go shopping!  Actually, we did not take the day off to go shopping but it worked out that way.

Needless to say we got up bright and early…..a touch after 9 AM……and made our way to the newly constructed 29th Street Mall here in Boulder to check out the deals.

DSC02453.JPG On the way to the mall….I was in the holiday spirit by sporting the sweater.  Frank and Bryan said I looked gay so they made me wear Steph’s shades…..who also came along.  I really have no comment….but the winter/offseason beard is coming along nicely.

DSC02455.JPG While shopping I met some really nice ladies!  I asked them to a movie but I think they had to work?

DSC02457.JPG At another store down the street I met some more nice ladies…..I wanted to lend them my sweater since it was cold and they barley had anything on.

DSC02456.JPG At Champs Sports we ran into a Broncos football player……he was a great guy!

DSC02458.JPG At Z Gallery I indirectly got a picture to hang on my wall.  Smith bought a new picture for his room and gave me his old picture….Thanks Smith!

DSC02460.JPG Frank frost bit his finger in the freezer department of Whole Foods wehre we ate lunch.

DSC02461.JPG While eating lunch we saw this guy…….I am sure this is a nice fellow but no wonder why most think cyclists are weird!

The 29th Street Mall is nice but we were all cracked from shopping after a few hours and went home and took a nap.

Back to training today.

I wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving.  We had ours at the house last night and it was a success.  That means today which is actually Thanksgiving I am going to be eating leftovers :(
