Happy New Years

To start with I would like to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Years.

Secondly I think that my facial hair fashion is catching on……..check out my roomate Frank.

DSC025841.JPG The krobar moustache is in for 2007!

DSC02585.JPG Unfortunately the cops came and broke up another party we had at the house!  The policeman acted tougher than he actually was but he did have the same exact shades that I have so he was okay.

Actually, the beards and any sort of facial hair had to come off since Frank, Rand and I are heading to Tucson tomorrow for a good hard week of training. Plus, of course, a good week of working on the tan!

Moustache

DSC02569.JPG For a few days I became a low budget porn star………

DSC02571.JPG However, I decided that line of work was not for me. Plus, the moustache made me look too tough and people were scared to talk to me so I got lonely!

I am slightly sad to have said goodbye to the beard/goatee/pornstar moustache which has been part of me for the better part of the last month and a half. However, next fall they will be back bigger, better, and more cool looking than ever!

After dropping AnnDSC02573.JPG off at the airport this morning (it was great having her and Tasha DSC02570.JPGstay at the house.) I headed up to Brainard Lake for a little snowshoeing.

Time for bed have to pick Frank up from the airport tomorrow at the ass crack of dawn.  I think Pipp and I  might be going to Tucson so we can actually ride our bikes and maybe even get a tan.  The only problem is we need a place to stay for two days so if anyone would like to volunteer that would be awesome!

Make Over

For the past month and a half I have been given my share of grief for my beard.  This includes being called “a mountian man,” “the unibomber,” “Hank Williams Jr,”  “grizzly Adams,” and even likend to a “dirty old man.”

However, Ann and Tasha arrived in Boulder today and gave me a radical makeover so I no longer have to deal with the emotional torment of such labels.

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday whatever holiday that maybe!  Hope you got everything that you wanted.  I did except I am waiting for my present for Hollywood…….it must have gotten lost in the mail on the way over from Tasmania!

Still no riding here with the massive amounts of snow……..so I am still smashing the shit out of some weights and have really taken a liking to the snowshoe. Three days of snowshoeing down…….bring it on Everest…….I am ready to sacrifice a few of my digits to frostbite.  Oaky, I think I have been watching that Everest show too much on The Discovery channel.

DSC02551.JPG Yesterday, I ran into some deer have their christmas eve dinner which mainly consisted of fresh herbs.

DSC02552.JPG My brother who is in town visiting……making great use of his snowshoes………his dinner mainly consisted of herbs also but with ketchup.

I made it back to Boulder safe and sound last night after spending the first part of last week at my parents house in Wisconsin and then the past few days in Grand Rapids, Michigan at coach Olson’s house.

The trip from Michigan to Denver might have been safe but it definitely was not fast.  After being closed for a few days Denver International airport is a complete debacle.  My flight from Detroit to Denver was delayed for many many hours 1222062231a.jpg and I did not end up getting home until 2:30 AM! (Thanks for picking me up Hartman)

Due to the massive amounts of snow on the roads here in Boulder bike practice was cancelled today so Pipp and I went backcountry snowshoeing instead.  I think we ended up hiking to the top of Mt. Sanitas via a round about way. Anywho…….here are some pictures.

DSC02533.JPG Pipp put the hammer down out of the gates and dropped me.

DSC02536.JPG Pipp on top of the world……okay it was only a little ridge but did feel like the top of the world.

DSC02537.JPG Me celebrating after pushing Frank off of the ridge!

DSC02538.JPG Two lovely Silhouettes……..actually it is just the shadow of Pipp and myself…….I think I look skinnier!

DSC02547.JPG Me running a bit too fast down the hill…………..

DSC02548.JPG Me face planting after running a bit too fast down the hill…………

DSC02549.JPG Frank taking pictures and laughing at me after running too fast down the hill and face planting.

DSC02550.JPG The view from here was shockingly beautiful!  It was rather electirfying!

Time for me to bring Frank to the airport.  He is going back to Wisconsin for a bit…….that is if his plane ever ends up leaving Denver!
