I must say it is a bit odd to not be racing this weekend in Elk Grove considering that this is one of the first weekends since the Tour of California that I have not raced! 

However, as much as I love racing it is also nice to be at home for a bit.  So what have I been doing at home you may ask?  Well, since I pretty much suck shit at going up hill I have been trying not to eat along with riding up a different canyon everyday to the Peak to Peak highway.   

After four consecutive days of going up I am a bit tired so today is a bit of an easy day. Here are some photo’s of the mountains I took over the past few days:

 Aside from riding I also pulled off the miraculous task of convincing Ann how wonderful La-Z-Boy recliners are!  Needless to say I read the newspaper on our La-Z-Boy this morning! 

Apparently women are not too fond of the La-Z-Boy because they are not good for snuggling/cuddling…but isn’t that the point!  It is like driving a car…when I am driving I do not want to share my seat..nor do I while I am watching “The Hills” on my La-Z-Boy! Plus, over the years they have become rather stylish and can fit well with any decor.

Today marks the first time I have ever been in Florida…yay!  I could not imagine any other place I would rather be than the Tampa Airport…oh wait….maybe at home in Boulder!!! 

 Yep, I should have been back in Colorado breathing the fresh mountain air over two hours ago.  However, due to the fact that my direct flight from Charlotte to Denver got cancelled I am in the humid/alligator state with over four hours to kill until my flight boards!   

Lucky I brought my Hunk O’Shit computer with me to kill the time (hey Scotty I got it to charge).

This past week the team was in North Carolina racing a handful of crits which culminated in the $100,000 Saturday night race in downtown Charlotte. Congrats to Frank and the Health Netters for walking away with the big pay check*.  At least I know who is going to be buying drinks for the rest of the year!

*Frank got lucky I broke my bike and had to ride a miserable/uncomofortable spare for ninety-seven percent of the race.  Otherwise the outcome might have been different

Seriously though, nice job Frank.

Lastly, Scotty and I had the privilige of staying in the “porn room” of the Microtel last night.  The huge wall mirror was lovely and so was the huge ass bug that I found in my bed!
