Vancouver, Eh!
July 11th, 2008Made it to Vancouver, BC last night where my teammate Scotty and our host Joe picked me up at the airport. It is my first trip to Vancouver and I must say…it is impressive! The veiws from the airplane were amazing…
View of Vancouver from the airplane.
Needless to say I am looking forward to being here for the next eleven days…checking out the area and racing bike! The other great thing is that the locals sort of talk like me…or at least that is what Scotty says!
Thanks to the Sales family for hosting us and it was also nice to meet a blog reader, Eric from White Rock, at the race today! It is always great to meet people who read these ramblings!
Lastly, I wish BJM a speedy recovery after hearing about his crash at Cascade!

Nice to meet you Garrett, though I could have picked a better moment for you “Race hard for 4 minutes, swap wheels with teammate, meet random stranger/stalker!”
Good luck to you and Scott this week, I’ll give you a shout when I am able to make it out to spectate.
P.S. Your hosts must be happy the “Gallon Challenge” has been postponed! Do a Google search for Mike Watt’s song, “Piss Bottle Man” you might find it inspiring.
